We have reached the publication of newsletter number two and will be online by early June.
During the month of May, "Black Jack" was launched on May 5, and the same for "Fair Jeanne" on May 9.
We are starting a very busy summer with the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 between our neighbours down south (U.S.A.) and the British (Canada). Our "Fair Jeanne" will be participating in these land and sea re¬enactments with "Mr. Guns" and our muzzle-loading cannons firing off black gunpowder and lots of smoke. No cannon balls this time!
Our first engagement will be June 14 - 17, in "Sailing Seaway Clayton" (New York). Our second will be June 29 - July 1, to celebrate "Bath" weekend for the re-enactment of the flight of "Royal George".
"Black Jack" will again participate in Pinhey's Point "Riverfest". This will be our third or fourth time. There will be a booth on shore to "show the flag" and we will conduct deck tours on "Black Jack".
On August 25, we will attend, for the first time, the Constance Bay Festival and will be visited by none other than Samuel de Champlain on the re¬enactment of his Ottawa River canoe trip in the 1600's.
This completes the second edition of our newsletter, and to all our readers, I wish you a fair wind and a following sea.
