10th Annual Awards & Reunion Banquet - 2004

Bytown Brigantine’s 10th Annual Awards & Reunion Banquet was a rousing success, once again. We had a turn out of 160 people, who all gathered to have a great time catching up with friends, eating a delicious dinner, recognizing all those who had contributed to Bytown, and watching a video of Black Jack’s 100 year launch and rechristening. Part way through the evening there were a few technical difficulties, but we overcame it and enjoyed watching the slide show David Froom had created from pictures that had been taken aboard the Black Jack and Fair Jeanne!

We also recognized the hard work and dedication of one of Bytown’s longtime volunteers, John Grahame, and presented him with a crew jacket. Everyone had fun bidding on the items in our Silent Auction, and we were able to raise just under $2,000 because everything was bid upon and sold. It was a huge success again this year and we give many thanks to Louise Dugas for managing to obtain the over one hundred items donated from various businesses.

Thanks again to everyone who attended and made it such a fun event. We hope to see you all again next year.
