Black Jack’s story in pictures

Conceived out of the technology of the Victorian Era.  Pride of the Upper Ottawa Improvement Co. fleet.  Assembled 8 years prior to the Titanic. Post card of the tug G.B. Pattee II (Black Jack) along with the steam paddle wheeler G.B. Greene (build 1986, rebuilt 1917, broken up 1947) pull together to launch the steam paddle wheeler Albert (built 1988 broken up 1917) Spring 1911 Quyon Boom, Upper Ottawa River. Clip from the 1937 movie The Sport of Sailing by Middleton During 40 years of service the Pattee plies the upper Ottawa River from Fitzroy Harbour to Britannia Bay towing booms of logs from Chats Falls to the Deschenes Rapids
