Volunteer

Bytown Brigantine relies heavily on the support and hard work of volunteers. The types of work volunteers do includes:

  • Boat yard help
  • Archive projects
  • Committees

The majority of the maintenance work is done in the spring before the summer youth programs start, and in the fall once the programs have wrapped up. Check out the Work Plan to see what type of work the ships need before the summer programs launch.

Become a Member

As a registered charity, one way Bytown Brigantine raises funds for the programs is through memberships. There are two membership categories: Individual and Corporate. There are five types of memberships in the individual category, and four types of memberships for corporations. The mini tallships in the table below show what benefits each type of membership receives.

Annual Awards Banquet and Silent Auction

Every fall Bytown Brigantine hosts the Annual Awards Banquet and Silent Auction. Another means of raising funds for the foundation is the silent auction where donated items are auctioned off. If you have something you wish to donate, please contact the foundation.
