Yard Sale Coordinator: We need to have our first Yard Sale. We have a surplus of various marine equipment, cataloging by digital photograph, pricing and promotion would be the duties*.

Work Party Supervisors: If your over 18 with supervisory skills, and you like the challenge of working with drop in volunteers who maintain our ships, barges and small boats, you’ll enjoy giving direction, ensuring safety and proper use of tools.*

Chart Updater: Knowledge of basic marine navigation and ability to work unsupervised in updating the marine charts as provided by “Notice to Mariners” on a monthly basis. You will be working with someone from the office.

Electrician: Our supply barge needs a licensed electrician who can assist in supply of power to our supply barge that is part of the STV Black Jack Island Adventure Camp. This includes both 110 60Hz and 12V dc lighting. A significant amount of time is required to either fix or simply rewire the barge.

Quartermaster: A significant amount of time is required for someone who can be responsible for inventory, case, storage, repair and registration of our ships, boats, trailers, tools and equipment.

Foundation

Database Updater: Help keep our data bases current. Skill in MS Excel needed.

Community Promotions: Help in getting our message to community groups, schools, etc.

Recruitment Coordinator: Ensure that no berth onboard our ships are empty when a ship leaves dock.

Fundraiser: Your experience in fund raising and grants will ensure that our not for profit organization to continue to provide existing programs, equipment and can create opportunities for the youth of our community.

Program Delivery

Shore Party Coordinators: Like driving? Like last minute planning? This is a position for someone who meets the Captains of our two ship as they dock or embark on a program. Last minute supplies and so on. Trips include Ottawa, Brockville and Kingston. Gas money is reimbursed.

Drivers: Like driving? Our ships often need documents, crew changes and delivery of items. This is a position for someone who meets the Captains of our two ship as they dock or embark. Trips include Ottawa, Brockville and Kingston. Gas money is reimbursed.

Crew: positions for experienced sailors available for selected shoulder season voyages on either STV Fair Jeanne or STV Black Jack. Teach to a wide age group the art of seamanship and tall ship sailing. This position requires full orientation sessions prior to joining a ship.
