Bonjour Quebec! - 15 Amazing Days and 14 Magical Nights (FJ3)

August 1- 15, 2022

This epic summer sailing adventure will start in Brockville at Tall Ships Landing on the SV Fair Jeanne where you will meet your fellow trainees and crew and soon-to-be lifelong friends.

In addition to learning how to sail a tall ship, navigating through the lock system, and meeting a boatload of super amazing people, your journey will take you to some of Canada's most magical cities and enchanting fjords.

Walking the streets of two of Canada's famous historic cities, Montreal and Quebec City, is an experience, especially their historical centres (Vieux-Montréal and Vieux-Quebec). This window into the cities' rich histories with cobblestone streets and unique architecture is unforgettable. Continuing past Quebec City and Ile de Orléans, you will have a "whale of a time" sailing in the Saguenay Fjord National Park, where if you're lucky, you can hear the beluga whales singing!.

The Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park is recognized as one of the best places in the world for whale watching. In addition, we will have a chance to hike some of the spectacular trails, sea kayaking, visit the Marine Environment Discovery Centre, and so much more!

If all of this wasn't already enough?!! You also have a chance to gain skills in your logbook, work on your Duke of Edinburgh Award, earn a high school credit in Health Active Living - Aquatics (PAQ3O), and have the time of your life!

This adventure includes unsupervised transportation from Quebec City to Ottawa on Via Rail.

*We continue to monitor the covid situation and plan to participate in as many planned activities as possible. We reserve the right to modify the journey as the Captain or board of directors determines. Weather patterns and other factors may (and likely will!) impact the schedule.

August 17-27, 2022

You start and end your epic summer sailing adventure in Canada's most magical historic city. A Treasured UNESCO World Heritage Site Old Québec will delight and amaze you. It is the cradle of French America and the only fortified city on the continent north of Mexico. You will have a chance to stroll through the cobblestone streets and soak in the city's magnificent heritage, storied past, and European charm.

Continuing past Quebec City and Ile de Orléans, you will have a "whale of a time" sailing in the Saguenay Fjord National Park, where if you're lucky, you can hear the beluga whales singing!

Watch whales and learn about the fascinating mammals and their habitat. Maybe we can even spot the unicorn of the sea? The Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park is recognized as one of the best places in the world for whale watching. In addition, we will have a chance to hike some of the spectacular trails, learn to sea kayak, visit the Marine Environment Discovery Centre, and so much more! Truly an extraordinary and magnificent experience.

This voyage does not include a high school credit or transportation to and from the departure points.
