The Captain & Mrs. T.G. Fuller Bursary Fund

Providing youth with the opportunity to reach new heights

On Sunday December 17th, in the warm glow of the sunset and evening star, at The Moorings, surrounded by her loving family, while overlooking Britannia Bay, Jeanne Fuller crossed the bar reuniting with her beloved husband, Captain T.G. Fuller – together for eternity.

A wonderful life indeed. Her example of unconditional love, kindness, generosity and sense of the moment will be commended to our hearts and enrich our lives for all the rest of our days.

The Captain T.G. Fuller Bursary Fund, has for over 23 years, provided youth with the opportunity to sail aboard Fair Jeanne and Black Jack.

As founding patron of Bytown Brigantine, Jeanne Fuller’s generousity has for over 30 years, ensured that no youth was left ashore for want of funds.  Now the Captain & Mrs. T.G. Fuller Bursary Fund will honour their combined legacy of leadership, resourcefulness, confidence, kindness and generousity.

Crossing the Bar
Alfred Tennyson, 1889

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar
When I put out to sea;
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell
When I embark;
For, though from out our bourne of time and place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crossed the bar.

Donations to the Captain and Mrs. T.G. Fuller bursary fund in memory of Mrs. Fuller are graciously accepted.  A card will be mailed to the family on your behalf.

100% of all funds donated are used to support youth who would otherwise not have the opportunity to reach new heights sailing aboard the tall ships Fair Jeanne or Black Jack.
