Providing youth with the opportunity to reach new heights for more than 30 years!

The Captain Thomas and Jeanne Fuller Bursary Fund exists to ensure that youth who would like to set sail are not left ashore for lack of funds. The late Captain Thomas. G. Fuller DSC**, renowned WWII Navy Captain and “Pirate of the Adriatic” designed and built the Fair Jeanne in his backyard, naming the vessel after his beautiful wife. It is by their example that tall ship sailing with Bytown Brigantine Tall Ships Adventure continues to build confidence and self-esteem, inspires leadership and good citizenship while fostering life-long friendships between youth. When you apply please ensure you include all the pertinent information. Our office will reach out to set up the next steps around follow up conversations with our Bursary Committee.

Jeanne Fuller

August 1930 - December 2017

As founding patron of Tall Ships Adventure, Jeanne Fuller’s generosity has ensured that no youth was left ashore for want of funds for over 30 years.

On Sunday, December 17th, 2017 in the warm glow of the sunset and evening star at The Moorings surrounded by her loving family while overlooking Britannia Bay, Jeanne Fuller crossed the bar reuniting with her beloved husband, Captain T.G. Fuller – together for eternity.

A wonderful life indeed. Her example of unconditional love, kindness, generosity, and sense of the moment will be commended to our hearts and enrich our lives for all the rest of our days.

Now, the Captain Thomas & Jeanne Fuller Bursary Fund will honour their combined legacy of leadership, resourcefulness, confidence, kindness and generosity.

Fair winds & following seas Mrs. Fuller, your Bytown family, including the 1000’s of youth that sailed aboard your ships will not soon forget how you helped us all to reach new heights.

Donations to the Captain Thomas & Jeanne Fuller Bursary Fund in memory of Mrs. Fuller are graciously accepted here.  A card will be mailed to the family on your behalf. 100% of all funds donated are used to support youth who would otherwise not have the opportunity to reach new heights sailing aboard the tall ships Fair Jeanne or Black Jack. Tall Ships Adventure is a Canadian registered charity, 118822253RR0001
